VT-ENGAGE motto "Ut Prosim" (That I may
serve) and honor the victims of April 16th by engaging in selfless
service. On Oct. 16th all members of the university
community--students, faculty, staff, and alumni-- will be challenged to pledge
at least 10 hours of community service before April 16th. The
Kickoff for VT-ENGAGE will be held on the drill field
from 4-7PM. Mark your calendars and check out the website for
more information. Chi Delta Alpha’s Service Scholarship Each year, Chi Delta
Alpha, Virginia Tech’s all-female service sorority, helps promote
service by supporting a student actively serving our world. This year, we
have the honor of awarding a $750 scholarship to a selected Virginia Tech
applicant to help them invent the future through community outreach.
Candidates for the scholarship must have sophomore or junior standing with a
minimum QCA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and they must be actively involved in
community service. Requirements include a complete list of service projects,
organizations, one reference letter, and a 500-word essay. Applications Available Online,
