VT-ENGAGE

Join the Virginia Tech community as we embrace our university

motto "Ut Prosim" (That I may serve) and honor the victims of

April 16th by engaging in selfless service. On Oct. 16th all

members of the university community--students, faculty, staff,

and alumni-- will be challenged to pledge at least 10 hours of

community service before April 16th. The Kickoff for

VT-ENGAGE will be held on the drill field from 4-7PM. Mark your

Chi Delta Alpha’s Service Scholarship

 

Each year, Chi Delta Alpha, Virginia Tech’s all-female service sorority, helps promote service by supporting a student actively serving our world. This year, we have the honor of awarding a $750 scholarship to a selected Virginia Tech applicant to help them invent the future through community outreach. Candidates for the scholarship must have sophomore or junior standing with a minimum QCA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and they must be actively involved in community service. Requirements include a complete list of service projects, organizations, one reference letter, and a 500-word essay.

Notification By: April 23rd, 2008

 

Scholarship presentation to the winning recipient: April 27th, 2008

 

 

Please submit the fully completed application no later than April 4, 2008 to the Chi Delta Alpha mailbox on the first floor of Squires Student Center (located next to the student organization mailboxes).
